Booking T & Cs

  1. All persons using the cross-country course for any purpose whatsoever must hold Public Liability Insurance cover. Completing your online booking and making payment acknowledges acceptance of this.
  2. Passes are per horse or pony, not per vehicle nor per family.
  3. The schooling pass is valid only for the day of issue.
  4. The course is open from 9am until 5pm (in line with current National Trust opening times). You may use your schooling pass at any time during these opening hours. There are no allocated time slots.
  5. A schooling pass entitles the named rider to use King's Meadow Cross Country Course only. It does not allow riding in any other part of The Ickworth Estate.
  6. If there are queues approaching the National Trust kiosk, under no circumstances should you overtake queuing traffic. Please wait your turn and remain polite at all times.
  7. Body protectors and riding hats with no fixed peak must be worn and secured when mounted.
  8. All riders MUST be accompanied by an ADULT - no lone schooling.
  9. Carry a charged mobile phone in case emergency help is needed.
  10. Dogs on short leads at all times.
  11. Please pick up droppings in the parking area and take them home.
  12. Report any damage or accidents promptly (see course rules).

Refunds

With only 12 schooling passes available each day, no refunds will be issued for any reason unless a minimum of 48 hours’ notice is given of cancellation to enable us to make the pass available for others to book.

Any refund will not include the booking fee, which is non-refundable (it goes direct to the booking site).

Exceptions

If the National Trust needs to close its site (e.g. due to high winds or disease), then we will be forced to close too. We will inform all riders booked in as soon as we are made aware of an emergency closure. Refunds will be given minus the booking fee.

If ground conditions make course access for vehicles impossible, the course will be closed and refunds given minus the booking fee.
